Wall Modules

We make our wall modules from 16mm HMR chipboard, factory edged in ABS, then trench the wall pillars so they are extremely strong for their weight. Then fix the module parts with screwed and glued internal angle brackets. We pack specially carded high density polyester batts cut to size into the box space, with optional layer(s) of Mass Loaded Vinyl suspended in a limp membrane for maximum efficacy.

Rayon felt covering for wall modules

Face The Wall Module with your choice of wall coloring (see swatch below) in non toxic certified rayon felt made in Germany , fixed and sealed with anodized aluminum angle and countersunk screws.

This felt material is certified safe for children’s toys, and it is definitely not hazardous in normal use. The color range is rich and makes a wonderful contribution to the atmosphere of a booth. We recommend darker colors for longevity for most users.

Black polyester acoustic pin-board

Alternatively we can supply wall covered in black polyester acoustic board as seen 2nd from the top of this linked page, for an additional fee.

These wall linings suit blackout rooms for AV use etc. As such they are extremely robust, even withstanding kicking, and repeated blows. They are well suited to educational institutions and other facilities that require something stronger than decorative felt. The cost of the acoustic board is however, quite a lot more than the felt. Acoustic board also functions as pin-board. This could be an advantage for some users so they could use some of the large area of pin-board for removable production notes etc.

We simply join wall modules to one another using stainless steel cap-screws, riv-nuts and coach washers for repeated disassembly and re-use. Because we carefully apply ‘Loctite’ Nickel anti-seize to the thread of each screw this prevents subsequent galling or seizing. They will be easy to undo even after years in their first location. Please do not eat this black grease.
